Day 22 and movement has stopped :o

I am happy to wait (as the thought of having to assist scares me) lol but it's just when do I decide that they can't wait much longer? I can't bare the thought that I'm killing it if I do or killing it if I do this is soooooo frustrating lol definitely a learning curve and I can't wait till I get this right and hatch my first lot I've had so much advice from everyone but still so unsure as to how long I need to wait before assisting maybe that's something I need to decide myself I don't know ahhhhhhhhh!!!!
Yes it is definitely something you must decided your self i waited 24 hrs after my first pip when it failed to progress and found the lot shrink wrapped. Every failure we learn from so without failure there is no knowledge so don't be scared to fail it happens to the best of us. I preferred to help and try and save as many as I could but I knew I might not be able to save any an might have to cull them. I have 7 healthy brahma chicks because I took that leap. Don't rush into but also don't be disheartened if it's to late it happens it happened to me. It's best to have a talk with yourself if that makes sense.

Here are the magnificent 7 lol.

Patience is key but to be fair I have little and I'm a do or die type of person. Wait til the morning tho maybe they will pip.

There is no shame either way, whatever you decide. YOUR eggs! So sorry some already quit. :(

What you are looking for at this point, when you candle, is for the air cell to shift or "draw down". This is when the chick starts getting into position. Honestly, if there is no draw down, there is no reason to attempt to assist. I personally don't feel any point in assisting, until the chick at least pips internally. Some may disagree, but if they can't get that far on their own, then chances are not good for their development.

This chick had drawn down and internally pipped. It eventually hatched under a broody hen, but it was a little late, so I checked it out. See how in the first picture, the air cell gets kinda mis-shapen. The chick had moved into position. Second pic shows the break into the air cell, the little pointed area is the beak.
(disclaimer, most eggs look much darker than this through the rest of the egg. This was a very small chick, and it was still light outside when I took these pics, so they are somewhat deceiving) Hope these help!
