Day 22 and movement has stopped :o

Id like to think they will but starting to lose hope so if they havent pipped by later this evening i may try and assist (if i dont panick first lol)
You'll do fine just make sure you have qtips, sharp scissors,coconut/olive oil, water, paper towels, tweezers and a nice bright light helps. Just remember if you do go ahead and help your doing your best to give them a fighting chance even if none make it you tried and should be proud of yourself for trying.

That is what the aircell on my two look like it's it is mos-shaped

do you remember when they starting getting that way?

Yes today makes it 3 days

I'm not sure of our time difference, but it's just Wednesday morning here. If you set on Monday afternoon, the third day overdue would start Thursday afternoon.

And, with as high as your humidity had been, i doubt true shrinkwrapping will be a problem. And with the temps on the low side, it's even less likely.

But.. if the air cell has drawn down, it's a toss up now, so I'd say at this point, you have to trust your gut feeling. Go in whenever you feel the time has come.

Did you ever take any pics of the air cell or trace your air cell lines? I'm curious as to how big they were.

for what its worth, I have a single egg in my incubator that was under a hen. Her chicks hatched last week, this one was alive but was a very late contribution to the nest. I have no idea what "day" it is on, or how much they sat on it, so I'm going by looks and watching the air cell. :)

She said it was 45-50 throughout the first 18 days, and very humid there. I consider that high. I run mine 25-30, i live in a very humid area.
I live in the UK humidity is normally 40- 75% my hydrometer said my bator humidity was round 40-50% yet my chicks were shrink wrapped how idk but they were. Better to be open-minded then not.

I'm very open minded. I've assisted chicks many times, even this week. I just think the term "shrink wrapped" gets thrown around alot and misused. And I've seen alot of rushed assists on this site lately, so i guess I'm a little disheartened by them. My apologies.

Anyway, being in the UK also, your advice is probably best. I'll stop here.

Yes a lot of ppl rush to assist it's true some I agree. I have never heard of someone misusing shrink wrapped tho unless they themselves were told inaccurate info?. No need to apologize your just saying what you know. Just because I'm in the UK tho don't make my advice better or worse then one else's I'm just saying what I have learned in a short curve.

But seriously how early is the earliest rush assist you have read I'm curious now

Right so ive decided that i am just going to keep waiting and see if anything happens I am quite doubtful that they are going to hatch but i will play the waiting gae abit longer just incase however i was told today that if i can see veins (assuming that is what i saw when i candled last night) that they have probably not progressed as they should, However i have just got home from being out and im either going egg crazy or one of the two was ever so slightly rocking :/ lol so as i say think im just going to play the waiting game and go from there but again i will keep everyone updated as to what happens :) if not any suggestions for when i try again that may help?
