Also, did you count your days correctly? The day you put them in the incubator is supposed to be day 0 I believe (many people think that is day 1 - myself included until recently)

Yeah I did. I made that mistake earlier. I definitely got a good scare out of thinking today was day 23 with no progress. But I’ve recounted and it’s definitely day 22.Also, did you count your days correctly? 24 hours. Also how long after an internal pip should I expect to see an external pip?
What in the world are you saying?Good question. May I do an educated guess. 2 days to a week. I had hatched eggs before. I didn't catch any internal pips. I seen movements before candling. I have some experience. Not enough maybe. To answer this specific question. But hatching can be a week late easily.
Candle. So it’s almost the end of day 22 and I still don’t have any chicks and I haven’t seen any pips. Should I candle one to see what’s going on or should I wait till tomorrow? I’m starting to doubt any are going to hatch. I’ll leave them until day 25 but it’d be nice to know if their still alive or if any have internally pipped.
Oh.... 24 hours. I was curious. What on the world are you saying?
Are you sure you are counting correctly?Ok. Thank you so so much! I just candled an egg and it had internally pipped! It was moving a lot and everything is definitely going well. I was getting so stressed out about it being the end of day 22 but everything is obviously fine so I’ll leave them to it. I really appreciate the advice!
These are actually eggs under a broody hen. So I don’t have much control. I was worried if they were still alive so I went ahead and candled one and it’s internally pipped and doing fine. And yes I’m positive I’ve counted the days correctly. Are you sure you are counting correctly?
If so your temperature is off.
Calibrate a few thermometers.
