Have avery small pip.

I also have one that got thin on one side and has a darker ring around it. I don't know what this means, but seems like I've seen it before and it wasn't a good sign. Anyone recognize this. It was thin and you could see an internal pip... then this dark ring.

Looks like some fluid has leaked out and gotten between the membranes. It usually happens when they try to pip but only pierce the membrane and don't break the shell.

I hatched calls last fall from shipped eggs. Every single one pipped at the wrong end, so there was a dark area where there was a little bleeding from where they hit live blood vessels in the membrane. If they pip through the air cell there is no bleeding. But a little bleed is no big deal. Each of mine were gently assisted and did great. I kept the membrane moist with coconut oil. I did not do anything with the membrane except keep it moist until the blood vessels regressed.

I was not planning on assisting. They are not due to hatch until tomorrow or Monday. I think I will give them more time. Just hate it when an assist goes wrong. : (
