Day 22 chicks haven't hatched but there's some pecking noises. What do I do?!?!

i have a homemade one. i made it out of an aquarium with a few blankets on top. all im worried about is if the light's too close but they grew so i think it's fine

I wish I had the expertise to help with your current situation but I don't. Maybe you should message one of the more experienced members and include all the information.

Are they all quiet now or do you still hear activity? Have you kept the incubator closed or have you been opening it often? Temp/humidity?

If you have candled did you see an internal pip?

I feel for ya, I know it can be very stressful.

Exciting times are right around the corner for you. I actually use a great invention I came up with for water for the chicks. I bought a bicycle water bottler holder with water bottle, went to the hardware store and bought screws, wing nut and washers to attach to the side of the box and used a chicken water nipple to place on the water bottle. Works like a champ. No drowning, no water mess everywhere and they learn really fast.

well the humidity seems fine, i taped a thermometer/humidity gauge and it fell so i cant really see the humidity and the temp. im worried that it might really just be the ventilation. what do you guys think? should candle it to check for the internal pip?
also, i can hear some pecking but im not sure if its them or me moving something and that making tapping sound.
