Day 22 chicks haven't hatched but there's some pecking noises. What do I do?!?!

Before you attempt to hatch again, you MUST calibrate your equipment. And if you have not done so, read all of "Hatching eggs 101" in the learning center. THEN, run your bator for at least 3 days with sealed water bottles in it to approximate the volume of eggs you will be setting. Take temp recordings with your CALIBRATED thermometer every 2 hours throughout that time period (while you are home and awake). When you are sure the temp is holding steady, you can then set eggs. I recommend that you hold humidity at 30 - 40% until lock down. 99.5*F if incubating with fan, 102*F if no fan.

I'm sorry for how it turned out :hugs

I know you don't want to hatch for a while, but the point in hatching is to keep trying, and if at first you don't succeed: Try, try again!

I set some eggs last summer, some hatched, and some developed- but didn't hatch.

Sometimes, you might have the best hatch rate ever! But other times hatching isn't so successful. Just keep trying! :hugs :ya
