I'm sorry... you've lost that one. It just happens that way sometimes. I had to toss several a couple days ago. Not your fault.
Thanks for the reply, just out of interest do you know what the black spots are?
As I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find an explanation as to what they are, egg has been fine previously and seen lots of movement
Only had 5 days to go....
Never seen any black spots inside an egg before

I opened one. It didn't smell bad (yet), but it had become somewhat greenish. Everything was mush. I think the floating bits are just remnants of the fetus and its "placenta."
Ok thanks, I’ve put it back in incubator for tonight and will give it a final check tomorrow...it doesn’t look good so think it’s a gonner, just a strange one as I’ve never seen this before, the veins and air sac still look very good x

Actually hang on! All of my eggs get that when they are turning for hatch, it's part of the embryo wastes. When I candle my eggs in lockdown the majority of my eggs look exactly like that. Did it move today? Leave it in, it might be totally fine. I'm not saying yours is, but all of mine have been.

I think it looks perfect honestly. If there are veins, even more so.
oh wow thanks that’s nice to hear, I noticed the black spots yesturday and still saw normal movement
I noticed more black spots today and struggled to see movement which is why I’m worried, I’m sure I did see a small movement after a while but I just put it back in incubator rather then keep messing with it.....I’ve spent two hours online looking for advice on what it can be, burst blood vessel, dead veins, dead embryo....there’s nothing I can find...I’ve spoke to two breeders who are also unsure so I’m glad someone has seen it before! Thanks for your help xx
