If they are hatching on day 20 then you're probably right about the temp being too high.No they where to high and cooked the chick theses are diffrent silkie eggs the Bator for incubation has not changed temp the one for hatching has been changed and they are hatching day 20.

I have one of those, too, but I have found it to be less accurate than the Braun. Please do invest in a proper thermometer and just use the shell temp as a guide.It coast me almost 500 for it but is great for the type of incubation i am doing.

Hope it comes with battery.Anyway, glad they are hatching for you. Maybe you could get better thermometers for next time? I think this one might be good?
