Ditto Dat^^^Usually, if the air cell is the right size, 24 hours is a good guideline before making a safe hole. Then another 24 hours before helping further.
Congrats!Here's the stron arm lol![]()
I have this same incubator, i have not tested it yet. How does it work for you?
My incubator got unplugged this morning for about 20 min and the baby was already internally pipped. It is still deffenitly moving and breathing but this has been the longest one yet.Okay so we are at 16 hrs with just internal pip what should i do?

It is not as big as the other air cell at all. And the Bator got unplugged by accident this morning after the baby already did an internal pip would that make a difference in this case or no?
Thank you, I have done a few before with my duck eggs useing a sharp stake knife and gently using a screwing type motion while I pushed ever so slightly to make a little hole but never a silkie egg.It won't hurt to go ahead with a tiny safe hole. If you've never done one, I'd suggest practicing on an egg you can eat or trash. You want just the tiniest hole possible.
I found this little drill bit in my dremel kit, works great. Some even use a screw (just the tip, of course). I've scratched the surface with a knife, then pierce it with a straight pin. Find what works for you.
See the hole between my thumb and finger? That's all you need.
