Day 28, no internal pips yet? Ducks

So today is day 28 of incubating my pekin eggs.. I have candled through my incubator & I see no beaks through their aircells. Is that normal? I thought they would at least be internal pipping.

Humidity is good, up it for lockdown 3 days ago and temp is 37.5

I hope everything is okay. I will be so sad if I get no ducks from this. I will be crushed.

What date did you set them? Is your incubator still air or forced air? Did you calibrate your thermometer to make sure it was accurate?

I set the eggs in at 5 pm on the 2nd of February so I counted day 1 the next day.
The incubator is forced air and the temp is 37.5 on the incubator thermometer and the digital one that's in there.
I shined in there again and nothing.

One has pipped! Only one tho! I'm so excited!

It's been about 10 hours and nothing changed. No other pips and the one egg is still the same. Day 29 now..

Every hour or so I'm running over there like a nut shining my flashlight.. hoping to see something.

I would bet your thermometers are off if they are running a day late now - I know you said they agree, but did you calibrate to make sure that they were accurate? They might be agreeing and still not be accurate.

Ducks are really slow hatchers, so it will take awhile for even the one that has pipped to hatch.

Thanks guys! Day 29 and three have pipped! The first one has made a lot of progress, I see two pips and a crack. The other two pipped this morning. So out of 9 we have 3 eggs that pipped. They are taking their sweet time and the wait is killing me.

I'm starting to think temps are off, almost day 30 and only have 3 that pipped. Or maybe my ducks are lazy creatures lol
