Day 29 one duck hatched day 26--still see movement in eggs but no pipping!

UPDATE: I was just at the school and there is an external pip!! (Day 31) I quickly added water, turned down the temp and unplugged the Turner. And now I wait! Hopefully the other 25 will be ok locked down a day early.

Wish @Hatching Teacher would have come back for an update!

Ok great. Thanks!
They have 4 ducklings so it will be 5 altogether.

How's your little one doing now? :pop

Hi!!! Exciting times in Grade 1/2...we have 8 hatched so far (2 that I had to assist but only minorly) and we’ve only just arrived at Day 35 today. 3 more have pipped and a bunch of others are rolling. So far so good! (Considering how HORRIFIED I was to hatch Muscovies after all the zillion horror stories I read on line, I think we’re doing pretty well. Lol)
Thanks for checking in!

I would love to hear more about what you did because you were obviously much more successful than I was! Although I had Indian Runners...

@WVduckchick the loner is still doing okay. Still awfully skittish, but he goes to live with the other ducklings tomorrow, so I hope that will be really good!

How long after the ling is in this position will it hatch
I have 2 goose eggs which look similar under mom
Thanks. Linda

It will usually internally pip fairly quickly after the draw down is complete, like within 12-24 hours. Then you have 24 hours possible before external pip, then 24-48 more hours before zipping. But those are the upper ranges. Each stage can be much shorter.

Hope all goes well with your geese!

Thank you so much. This is her first season laying and was not sure any would hatch.
