Yeah!!! I find it best to let them dry off well, and fluff up, but I base mine mostly on the other eggs. I wait for a lull in the action. You don't want to open it with active pips and zips going on.
I leave mine in the incubator for at least 12 hours (until fully dry). You don't want to open the incubator more than once a day at this point (to take ducklings out or to add water for humidity). This is so that those in the hatching process don't dry out. They don't actually need to eat or drink for the first few days of life, but I like to get mine out and at least drinking after about 24 hours. Just to be safe.
