Day 4 - candling pic's page 2

Yep, first click is shutter opening, second click is shutter closing. No matter how hard you try to hold it still, it just wont work. Just try holding a laser pointer on a single spot on a wall 30 feet away. It will make you wonder how you can even bring a cup to your mouth! At least with my holding still abilities that is.

Oh I know I can't do that - my cats would be entertained for sure! I'll tell my hubby to haul out the tripod for the next session...... it needs both of us there as the spotlight has a button and you have to HOLD it to keep the light on, and it gets warm so I turn it on and real FAST take a pic so I don't heat the egg up.... I put a measuring cup on top of the spotlight to keep the distance to prevent heating up.....

Ever think of using an LED flashlight? They run real cool compared to the large spot lights and if you can afford it, can be really bright.

These are my brown and green eggs, and some may be white, on day 6 and 12

Edit: The best thing I like about the flashlight method is that you don't have to risk taking eggs out of the bator!

Next time we go to walmart I'll look for one.... it would be nice not to have to take them out.....

Those day 12 day pic's are awesome - I thought it would get more difficult to see anything the further along the eggs went......
One of my eggs has really obvious veins, not sure why its so different from the others.... with any luck they'll ALL look like that soon.
