I have a live camera on them all day so I can make sure they are eating and drinking. So far everyone looks good. I am so shocked with how smart that little runner is. She has it all figured out. It also seems the crested is not as smart as the others but she is slowly figuring things out.
That Cayuga is a naughty little thing. She's pecking everyone. I gave them a stuffed animal to cuddle with and they seem to like that. I already love them so much! I need to think of some good names!
After a while which ever one you keep inside will get over not having the others but it will be traumatic. Plus how are you going to put the other two out have you got a brooder set up outside for them?
I wasn't going to do it until they were able to go outside. I have an outdoor house and run ready for them. But I planned on keeping everyone inside until they were fully feathered. If I do this I probably have less of a chance of one imprinting on us dont I?
I could move them to a brooder out in the garage. Its heated.
Ok I guess I just wont seperate them. I guess I didnt think it would be a negative thing to have a house duck along with our small dog. I figured it would have plenty of company. But I can see that is frowned upon.
