If you could get a few pictures of your brooder that you have for the ducklings that would help all of us tremendously because sometimes some things work and some don't.

I'm sorry.Ok... in other news this cayuga is beating the crap out of the other two. What do I do?
@Runner duck momThey made it!!!! Got a call at four this morning and I went and grabbed them! It seems that everyone is doing ok. They are eating and drinking. I’m trying to decide which one will be the house duck. I have a blue runner,Cayuga, and a white crested. The Cayuga might not get to be inside because she is very very loud! The little runner is a smart little thing! The crested seems to be the bottom of the pecking order. I might have to separate her because they seem to be picking on her a bit and I know that we have to be careful about them getting her crest.
If you have any of these breeds I’d love to hear from you!
where are you located?I wasn't going to do it until they were able to go outside. I have an outdoor house and run ready for them. But I planned on keeping everyone inside until they were fully feathered. If I do this I probably have less of a chance of one imprinting on us dont I?
I could move them to a brooder out in the garage. Its heated.
Do you have a curtain rod because you could just move it so that it is centered up above the bathtub... Wrap the cord around several times so that it won't fall and make sure that it is secureI will agree I need a bigger brooder. Its just a standard size storage bin. I think I will move them to the bathtub to give them more room. Not sure how I will hang the heat lamp yet but I will figure something out.
This may not end well.Do you have a curtain rod because you could just move it so that it is centered up above the bathtub... Wrap the cord around several times so that it won't fall and make sure that it is secure
I've had good experience with heat lamps as long as they're secured to something with the cord wrapped numerous times and not with a clamp. This may not end well.
Yep I have noticed with mine that right after shipping they are a litle ornery but that goes away in a few days. They are precious!! Hopefully they’ll settle down and not pick once they have their belly’s full.![]()
