Ok, for those of you who have been following my posts, I have a question. Sorry in advance; I know it is OT but I wasn't sure what thread this belonged in.
Would you or do you sell your chickens to newbie/novice owners? I emailed a lady who was selling part of her BO flock (6 hens and a roo). I told her that I needed to complete my coop so they would be safe and asked her to hold them for me while that was being done. She agreed and said they would be ready when I was. During the last week I have emailed her several times with updates on the coop. I mentioned that I was a new owner and asked her questions about her flock. The questions were things like: Have they had any vaccinations? What are you feeding them (I didn't want to change their diet drastically)? What are their personalities and quirks? Ever since the email where I mentioned I was a new owner, I have not heard back from her. She doesn't answer my emails and now that the coop is finished, I have tried to call. She won't return my calls either. I understand that folks have their lives. I just would think that a quick email saying "Hey, sorry I have been busy." would be appropriate. I was never rude in my emails. Could I have put her off by being a new/novice owner? Should I continue to try to contact her or start looking for a flock elsewhere? At this point I am pretty frustrated and confused. Any input would be greatly apprectiated!
