Day 7. What/when to toss?

I've seen people mistake veins for rings and be very sorry when they've opened an egg.

Unless it stinks or has gone visibly dead -- loose floating black mass or clearish brown cloud and no veins, I leave it alone.

More than once I've been surprised by a "bad egg" hatching. I mark them, I track them and I check eggs at hatch. Lots of "bad" ones and questionables have hatched.

Rotten egg is a REALLY clear smell.

Okay. Just making sure that my mom would be able to notice it. I just had the sudden urge to candle, but I resisted and just smelled them instead. I felt weird, but I don't want to have any disasters like breaking a live-embryo egg..

I'm very nervous for this hatch, it's my first and my Welsummer roo that is the father of some of the eggs just DISAPPEARED from the coop one night. No feathers, no nothing. =[

Thanks for all the help!

The smell will be really prominant. Also if you hear hissing, GET RID OF IT! It's 'bout to explode!

As for the others, perhaps they are just late bloomers?
