I have heard similar stories on here. I love it. You can never be sure with poultry.

It must be a Coturnix 'thing'....I've never heard a Bobwhite, Blue Scaled, Gambels, Valley or Mountain quail chick crow...only mature birds and never heard a female crow, either!
