Day Old Chick Won't Wake Up

How ever you can make her comfortable, so she can feel your body heat and hear your voice. I had to play with the neckerchief to get it right, so it rested against the hard part of my upper chest, just below my neck. The important thing is that she feels you, feels close. I would give her fluid every 20 minutes or so. You can also use raw egg yolk mixed in water. Loud, rapid peeping is often distress. Quieter, slower peeping is usually contentment. If she's peeping a lot try humming, soft singing, or talking to her or yourself. It often does help.

She has stopped peeping accept when I wake her for water. Where I am it's nearly 11pm. Should I keep waking her every 20mins or let her sleep til morning?

Depends on how hydrated she is, how much she has taken in today. A normal chick can go all night without drinking. If she hasn't taken much in, then all night may be too long. Also depends on you, how much you want to do.
She hasn't likely had much today. I'm starting to believe she may be blind as I found someone else's post with the exact same story and their chick turned out to be blind. I have a lot of research to do to make sure she has a real chance.

You will need her to be perkier before you can determine if she's blind. Once she starts reacting to things then you will be better able to tell if she can see. I would concentrate on hydrating her for now, and then see how it goes. The egg yolk water will give her some nutrition at the same time, but fluid is more important than food right now. And keep her warm. It's very hard to know what happened to them in the shipping box, all you can do is try.

Thank you for all the advice

I hope your chick makes it through these first days. I had one chick in my order of 10 that showed very little activity for the first few days, and I thought I would lose her. But, fortunately, she made it and turned out to be the strongest chick of all in a couple of weeks. Keep her warm and try to get her to drink some water. Best wishes.

Update: She did not make it. She passed earlier today. It is mine and my husband's first loss, but we will get through and maybe stay away from shipping chicks for a while. Thank you everyone for your support and advice.
