Days old pullet with head hanging.

I will get the shavings out of the pen. The chic is doing better. It is holding its head up better. The water I have for them has the electrolyte in the water.

Latest on the pullet. I went out there and put them all in the box I brought them home in. I have a jointer for woodworking so I made a box of new shavings. I also got all the old cedar shavings out. I then got the rest with a vaccum. I have a air filter in this area so I turned it on while cleaning. After this I put some cardboard on the floor to seal any cedar dust and then put the new pine shavings in.
I also threw out the water and food that was in the feeders. I also cleaned them and put new feed and water. I will keep the electorlytes and other packets I mentioned in the water until I run out.

As far as the other chicks they show no signs of feeling bad or being sick. The good news is I think this chic is really improving. I have a hard time spotting it now. I have been mixing food with the water and placing it on my fingers. I also have the chic cupped in my hand so it can't get away. I place it next to the food and it eats it up until it can't eat any more. This last time its crawl was full. When I put it down it was pecking at stuff.

If its head completely down is 0 and its head up completely is 100 when I got it its head was 0. Now its head is up to about I would say at 70%. Now its head is slightly tilted. So I can definitely see a big difference. I am hoping by Monday when I go to work it can eat on its on when I am at work. I plan to go out a few more times tonight and will go out every hour or so tomorrow. Thanks for all the help and suggestions. I will give an update tomorrow so everyone interested will know and also if someone in the future can read through this for help.

I just went out there this morning. Now its neck is fully upright and its head is only slightly tilted. I had to watch to find out which one it was as it seems to be doing good. I picked it up to feed it and it wouldn't eat. I felt of its crawl and it was packed full. So it has been eating on its own. So it seems to be doing great. All the others are doing great as well. So hopefully the worst is over.

I am putting the probiotic and electrolyte powder in their water until I run out just to give them all a little bit of extra help. That and feeding it with the water/food mix with the eyedropper is what I think probably got it better. Then feeding it with most food when it got strong enough to peck. Hopefully it will keep improving. So all of them are getting a little bit of extra help.

Update. The bad news is the little chick didn't make it and I lost one other. The good news is all the rest are doing great and growing. They are some of the most active I ever had. Hopefully they will do good from here on out.
