How old are they? If they are under 6 months old, they could be going through a juvenile molt. Feathers growing in can be very itchy and can make them very uncomfortable.

. Oh! I read about that! Yes they are younger and feathers have been all over the coop so that makes sense. I can't thank you and everyone here for your help and answering such simple worries from us newbies!
