Oh thats good, I have one of those too , my first round of eggs I was so silly I had no idea that the digital part had to go inside of the incubator lol I only put the probe in then I put the whole thing in BIG MISTAKE I ended up not using it for humidity tho cause the readings were way off.
I got one round one like your talking about it reads much better.
What I do tho is I incubate dry all through the 18 days, and then on the 18th day I bump it up to 75 % they all hatched or start pipping on day 19.
Today is day 19 for me and I already have 1 out and 3 pipping.
My incubator is a lot different from yours though.
Wow!!!??? You incubate dry? No water at all? I am so new to this! I didn't know you could do that. I thought you ended up with shrink-wrapped eggs. So this is not something I should worry too much about if humidity is low? I am so confused......
Congrats on your pipping!
So should I go to bed????
Thanks so much for the info! I have to look into this dry incubation thing...
Towards the end is the most important part of it all for me that is, temps kept proper the first 18 days , then kick in humidity towards the end.
I am doing this again for my second hatch and here they are again day 19 pipping and I already have 1 out kicking the others around lol.
I was really surprised how much difference it made to stop worrying so much about the humidity now if you get super low you might want to watch that try not going under 20 I am in Texas its pretty dry here my room humidity is 33% right now but as soon as the sun comes up that will change.
I have done other hatches in the past and I always started with full water wells and never had a very good hatch.
This time I wanted to do what some of the other people were suggesting on here the dry incubation it really has changed my hatch rate a lot.
