What would kill a chicken and only eat the intestines but leave the bird?

Opposum would be first guess, they usually go for the guts first...
...but could be about anything, interrupted and unable to finish it's meal.

Well I am going to put my trail cam in the coop and see if I can figure this out

I just lost my first "baby", about 14 wks old. Something ate the head and ripped wings off my rooster. What ever it was did eat a little of the meat of the bird. I was away on vacation but my husband was home and there was no obvious entry. We are thinking a racoon/ opossum climbed the chain link fence. I have auto lights around both cages/runs and wire fabric 2 ft up the sides. I think I may need to run an electric wire around the outside. I asked him to hook up his trail cam also. Did you catch anything on your trail cam?
