I have two peahens and one peacock all living together in a large greenhouse that was repurposed to a peafowl house.
Both peahens are sitting.
The first sat on six eggs and the second is currently sitting on three.
Today is day 27 for the first peahen and two hatched, but I found them dead in the middle of the enclosure.
Could the peahen have killed her own chicks? Did the peacock kill them? How can I prevent this from happening again?
Right now, the peacock is locked In a smaller cage inside the enclosure. The first peahen isn’t sitting anymore. The second is still sitting on eggs.
