Taj_MaChicken
Songster
I have one that behaves like this (still a pullet). She would cry in the brooder when she couldn't snuggle the bigger girls (she's a bantam). Then when we were transitioning them to be outside at times, she would cry when she was left alone or couldn't keep up with the other chicks (the yard was a big hill).
Now that they're in their coop and run with a flat space, she seems to do fine.
I think she has anxiety about being alone. Might be how yours is too.
