I'm back.

Hubby called me when he got home from work at noon on Friday and said the humidity in the NR360 was 65 and saw my note that said 40% to 50% is good, so thought he had an emergency. I said, yes, sort of, but don't worry, just fix it fast. He said he filled them up before he left for work. So this would be 6 hours later (he drives nearly an hour to work these days.) He got it to stable below 60% before we hung up. I'm sure they should be okay as they'd only been in there four days. I'll candle them tomorrow night, or maybe even tonight if I get time.

Whenever I see a deal on another Brinsea 56EX or something above that, I'm buying it and selling the NR360 for exactly this reason.

Welcome home Debbie! :frow

The eggs should be fine, a few days won't hurt anything at higher humidity. People complain about the NR360 for a few reasons, I've never owned one but after hearing all the complaints, I'd never purchase one. Brinsea is one of the best incubator producers, stick with them if possible. I've used R-Coms too, very reliable incubators.

Whoohoo! We're glad you are back!

You know my sentiment on the NR360s 🤣 I'm borrowing this Brinsea 56 EX right now and it is even more amazing than my 56 Advance if that's even possible!

The rest of us don't (I'm ready for some drama)🤭🤭:pop
I know a lot of people like them and have good success, but I just don't! I have 2 I've borrowed from a friend, she only used them once 3 or 4 years ago then they've sat since then until last summer. I used one and it was not consistent with its temperature, I hatched out a couple chicks with feet and tendon issues, I hatched out a group of chicks from those chickens in the Brinsea two weekends ago and zero leg issues in my silkies so that rules out genetics. I had my over flow eggies in the NR360 in for this last hatch and about half that started quit. The Brinsea on the other hand, only had two quitters total, and one had a crack in the shell that I had missed.

I got my bt thermo-hygrometers today and I want to dry run the NR360 with one in it, I know it's not exactly the same as a full incubator but I'm still curious and I'm not about to put precious eggies in it. I guess I could put non-fertilized eggs in it. I'll post the results!
