December 2018 Update on Turkey Burger for those who have been following

So glad to see an update on Turkeyburger!! You did an amazing job! She looks great (yes, she's a hen). Whats the next step? Is she back with the flock? I'm impressed how well she recovered. What a sweetie!

Im impressed with how she has healed too,specially since I was basically "winging it" lol.

Just looked at her recovery pictures again. Betting she's decided she wants to be a house turkey! She looks pretty comfy cuddled up in laps!

Probably lol. I sat her on my husband's lap so I could trim her wings,tend to her leg and put a fresh wrap on it. I have a video Od like to share but theres no way to sjare vids here is there?
I wish there was a way to put a diaper on her because she is comfy in the house kust like August

I have tried to put diapers on my turkeys not even joking- everyone needs house turkeys! I couldn't get them to fit properly.

Also I just realised my turkeys are 13weeks, so just over 3months (gee my maths is off, been saying they were 4months for a while now!).
So if Turkey burger is 5-6 months old, it would most certainly have bigger carnicles and be gobbling a lot if it were a tom.
My hen puffs up at things too, when she's annoyed of telling the boys off

I honestly do not know TurkeyBurgers actual age. I only recall them being on the ramch 1 week to 1 month at least prior to August hatching,which was August 23. So that is how I have estimated her age .
August is 18 weeka old

Oopss August is now 19 weeks lol
So Turkey Burger is a week to at least a month older. Im banking on about a month

There is a company....think its called "Flight Suits"...that makes all kinds of bird diapers. Turkeys bond strongly to humans. They can become like dogs with feathers. She probably thinks she belongs in the house with you guys. Does she & the cat get along well?
Ought to join us over on the " Century of Turkey Talk" thread. Most of us regulars hang out over there. Someone may have an idea where to get properly fitting diapers. @Aurora26 makes turkey saddles. That may be something you look into if she rejoins the flock.
