December 2021 Hatch-A-Long

 She is so cute and so fluffy!
Okay, day two of sitting: (She was kicked out) I had to relocate Yuzu into a box in one of our dog kennels that we raised chicks in this year, set up with a heat light, food and water. I am thankful she is an easy sitter. Phew.

It is super cold, so I won’t get to many hopes up, but hopefully the heat lamp can help. And she won’t get kicked out by other hens in there.

She is so dedicated!
Here are pictures of Yuzu, and her four eggs. Three of the large eggs will be totally random mixes. 😂
(I’m sure you can guess which one is the Bantam Cochin egg :p)
(The cable belongs to the heated water bowl.)

I had some eggs due on Jan 2.. (4) and decided to candle them. I accidently put one egg in upside down. I hope it will be okay...In my defense both ends looked round and not pointed. I put it back air cell up...

Even though the egg was put in air cell down the air cell didn't break. So that is good.

I have 3 out 6 pips day 19 still

2 diff foam incubators.
Dry hatch first 17 days fan and turner incubator 99.5 I lock down a day early, day 17, moving them to a still air, with water in troughs. 101.5 making sure incubator is on flat surface so it can draw air, plugs out. (Don't have incubator on a rug.)
