Yes, it says fertile on the cartonYes, I've heard that too. Don't they mark them..as fertile if they are?
I am in San Diego and i pay 2.99.I'm not sure. Still not sure if they have the fertile ones, will find out on Monday, then have my son go get them for me. I saw on one site, that they were $2.99 a doz.

It mimics the mother hen getting off the egg's to eat etc..@cree57i Thanks for the advice. There's a "cooling period" after day 7? I didn't know that the target temperature changed at all throughout the whole hatch.
Ah I think I see what you mean, the cooling period during the short time you spend candling?

Markers can penetrate thru the shell. Using a pencil is safeMy Pekin Duck eggs are due to hatch on the 27th or 28th, I'm SUPER EGGCITED(lol)!! It'll be my first hatch, I'm using my Silkie. Hopefully she stays put on them eggs! What I'm most happy about is they'll hatch a few days after X-Mas and one to two days before my Birthday! Or heck, even possibly on my B-day!!
Do any of you guys know of a safe marker to mark my eggs with? I would like to know which egg is which, ya know?
My Trader Joes egg's were marked as Fertile on the cartonI see. I'll try buying some and see if they had the white bullseyes. If they do they'll go into a 2017 test incubation.
