December hatch along

I got two chicks pushing air cells right now the other hasn’t quite started pushing on the aircell just yet but I’m guessing soon if it’s not malpositioned which I’ve noticed several chicks that way this hatch. My dad says it’s the turners causing the malposition I don’t know

Hope your chicks hatch without issue. I did see somewhere that someone had trouble hatching with the upright trays but figured if they were no good nobody would use them but I'm certainly finding all sorts of issues I never had with my old basic incubator. With mine I think my incubator temps were too low (late hatches) humidity too high at times (air cell too big) just hoping to get the hang of it soon.

When my chickens start laying I’m going to set two batches of eggs on set in the turners the other set laying on their side in the same incubator and see which has a better hatch rate

Were up to two Serama and four Aussies.

Reached in and snatched out the four Aussies because they’re crushing everyone else.

Just dropped the Aussies into their brooder. They’re still adjusting to the fact they’re not in the cages in the incubator anymore.
