December Hatch:Who is going to have Christmas babies?

Congrats to all the lovely new hatchlings, and BHep I've got my fingers crossed for you

Checked my eggs on monday and had to throw out one which had quit, 18 out of 20 still are doing fine, so fingers crossed for a good hatch

I will have to get pictures later, but one of my quail babies hatched today. I had given up on them yesterday and while cracking the eggs to see when and how I lost them, I found one was still alive and pretty close to hatching. I put that poor baby and the remaining 3 eggs back into the bator and one hatched this afternoon. The poor little one I opened did not make it as I expected, but I had to try. I am hoping to find one or both of the others hatched by morning.

One more hatched abotu 5 min. ago. My problem egg is iffy, but still movement and peeping so im hopeful.

So my final count 10/15. The 5 cracked eggs did not make it. The little one that got dropped on his/her head, is doing good. May call him/her Humpty Dumpty. lol I am greatfull for my hatched babies.

OH MY!! I had 7 eggs left to hatch. Lockdown was Thursday the 9th. Started pipping the 10th and hatched the 11th, 12th, 13th. Had the 7 left, so I let the bator run still. No pips or hatching yesterday the 14th. I turned off the bator this morning at 9:15 am, a few min later I HEARD PEEPING. Oh my, plugged the bator back in and I have another pip. What are the chances of that? All these eggs were set at the same time and were all developing the same, but I have some late bloomers.

My broody still has 2 more to go too. 1 hatched yesterday, the other 2 have not pipped yet, but she is still sitting on them.

This has been a weird hatch for me! Must be something in the air.

Ok i got one on monday, four yesterday, and one this morning with lots of peeping from the remaining eggs. one pipped. weird hatch for me too, lol!

There's another pipped.... But I may have to help it when I get home tonight. I sure hope it's out on its own, though.

I think those 3 are my only December chicks from THIS hatch; the 4th didn't make it out of the egg. (Rest of the eggs aren't doing a darned thing, either.) Ah well, I am always happy if anything hatches at all. Nice to have more than one!
