I love all the friendship and support at BYC!... soon the countdown for another 21 days will begin. It did help pass the week between the first and the latest hatches by taking care of the first fuzzies

Here's mine. ONly 3 hatched. The lighter one is a sizzle the other 2 silkies. The one standing beside the cup hatched on Christmas eve and the other 2 on Christmas.

I'm gonna name the Christmas Eve chick Santa and the lighter one Noel and the black one Jingle

Got some due tues. Just seperated them to two incus'. Temps in 1588 have been running low and I do hope they turn out ok. Moved a few to a still air 1602N. Just so things don't get to crowded. Keeping my fingers crossed and praying.

Anyone know where this finger crossing thing came from?

I think humidity is what's got to be watched out for. To high and .................................

How do you get a Blue barred EE? I've got an EE sitting on eggs in the coop. Why do they go broody so young and then maybe never again. How long do they take to go broody again? I got CM's and BO's and a Dom that have all gone broody once. Even Frenchy hasn't again and I would expect her to go again too.

I just love chickens

I was just curious when seeing the yellow barred orps is it? They are pretty but way to pricey. I've crossed Nick with an EE and got an ugly black chick I may just give away. I think it's a pullet but we shall see. I've got others in the incu due to hatch and I'm curious to see what they look like if they hatch. I also have a Lav Amer roo and a Lav EE i hope to put together soon. She has the beard like the roo so they should make nice chicks.

Here they come, a day early and I got an EE in the incu and she looks like a beaut. The mom is EE and the dad is Nick my Del. I do hope the rest hatch. I seperated the lot to two. One set is in a Hova bator 1602N. I had 35 set so I thought I'd seperate them. So far just the one none of the others show signs of pipping but then this one didn't either. Came home from bookstore and there she was. I like when they hatch fast like that. Shows a healthy chick. Will post pic tomorrow if all goes well. I usually wait the three days to pull the plug. I've had them hatch over four before, so I wait til the last minute.

take care
