A deer feeder will work fine. I have one for my pot belly pig, I cut the bottom out of a five gallon bucket and put it over the spreader mechanism to direct the feed straight down into a bowl, you'll just have to figure out how to connect the bucket on your feeder so that it stays in place. my feeder is a 5 gallon type with a timer that will feed up to 6 times a day, you program it for what time and how long. The bucket fits snuggly over the bottom of the feeder and I secure it with self tapping metal screws. It works great and the I only need to fill it about every 3 weeks.
