I love looking at the standard size birds, like the White Wyandottes, Rhode Island Reds, Austrolorps, Buff Orpingtons, Barred and Partridge Rock, and they had a cool Blue Cochin that they had for show.
They were not selling any of those breeds there though.
Though I did find out that you could get a sheet list and find the number corresponding to the owners and you could contact them in the future if you are interested in their birds.
It was kind of neat watching the judge look at the birds and the way they approached it all. I could see why it might take all day looking at all those birds. I thought it might look more like a cat show or something but did not know what to expect having never been to one before.
As we couldn't buy any birds we did not stay that long after walking around outside. Mostly bantams, ducks, and a few turkeys were for sale outside......oh well, I guess we will have to wait till the Milford Swap on Nov. 8 comes up to look at some more birds.
My granddaughter did pick up a beautiful feather on the ground from one of the Silkie show girls. I love their feathers.
It turned out to be a gorgeous day for the show.
