I have a 2 day old chick with a defective leg he hops around on one leg but we can't figure out what's wrong with it and don't know much I've read articles about it but can't really figure it out myself so my question is does anyone have a chicken that survives well with only one good leg or is putting it down young the best way to go it's breaking my heart

Can you post a picture of his legs?

I'll also try to get more the chick hops on one leg and holds the other up the whole time

Hard to see in pics, but I think it might be a slipped tendon... feel the back of the good leg and find the tendon that runs in the middle, compare that to the bad leg... if it is slipped to the side, it is slipped tendon... only a couple people have been successful treating that, unfortunately, and if not corrected soon it will not heal later...

I will look for the link to the success, but usually those are more humane to euthanize... sorry... :(
