deformed egg that won't break

I have a chicken that has been laying normally. Today, however, the egg was very light in color, light in weight & WILL NOT CRACK. You can throw it on the pavement and it won't break. Has anyone ever had this happen before?

Please disregard this post. I am going to KILL my husband. The egg was a fake & he only had the guts to tell me 3 days later!!!!!!!!!!!!

I once swapped the chicken eggs for goose eggs and sent the then boyfriend out to collect eggs. He came back in with saucer eyes and said "Our chickens are changelings!"

If I hadn't cracked up immediately I could have let it run!

Get rid of that egg or it will keep showing back up fooling you again.

Someone i sell eggs to played a trick on me with 3 of them, I ended up trying to use them in the nest boxes only to find them in the when i candled my eggs for sale .

I would put them back in the box ,then find them in the yard, tried to break that dirty egg over and over by throwing it against something so the hens could eat it, then it hit me, it's that darn HA! HA! egg.

I have even been afraid of the HA! HA! egg thinking it was gona blow up
