I am glad I read this post cuz my girls ain't laying yet and when they do I will know that I don't need to freak out if I see an egg that is not normal. This site is so helpful for newbie hillbillies such as myself. Thanks

Hi..it's really exciting when they first start laying. I had a fantastic layng box all ready, but never found an egg. Until one day my son found 10 eggs under an old metal drum....!! We even had 2 eggs that were joined together end to end. Felt sorry for the hen that layed that egg..!!
