Hi, I have four Delaware's... Sadly, their all crosses. I can show you a photo of mine if you would like... But I doubt it will suit your needs and questions.
This is Gabby, a Delaware/Dork/Hampshire cross. The only thing I do not suggest about the breed is that they can be quite skittish.
Gabby
Next is my Delaware/Dork/Brahma (Buff) cross. They are less timid because Delaware didn't take dominant. Maggie and Ferocious:
Ferocious back, Maggie Front
Last but not least, the one who started my adventure of having these crosses, Raphael the Delaware/Dork. He is the shyest of them all. Sadly, I was not that one who had created the cross. I will enlarge this photo since it's a bit dark.
Raphael. Yes, he has a golf ball behind him. I have gold balls in the coop so hens don't eat eggs.
Since they are crosses, I don't have much experience with the breed itself. I recently made a friend on a Delaware thread I created, is she doesn't mind being mentioned, you may find her helpful.

(I will tell my friends who may have the breed about this thread).
Good luck, God bless! Hope I had helped you a little.
Sincerely,
-The Angry Hen
P.S.

I lost my very beloved Isaac in September 2015 at over 6 1/2 yrs old and I have only one remaining Delaware hen now. They came from a breeder who was trying to recreate a true Delaware. Here are some photos of Isaac and ladies from a few years ago. And a recent photo of my 8 1/2 yr old hen, Georgie, on game camera. Ike had six hens, but I can't locate the earlier photos for some reason. Most of these photos appear to be Georgie at various ages. One has my husband holding both Georgie and Ellie, but by then, the rest has been sold or passed on.
And the famous Youtube taken by my best friend in KY the weekend that Isaac met her then teenage daughter for the first time. He was completely smitten.
