Delaware Roo over Dominant Copper and Sapphire Gems.

Would this be an OK dual purpose mutt with good egg production?

Uncle wants layers next year and I’m itching to try incubating something. He’s wanting eggs.... I’m wanting to eat 50% of the hatch that cannot lay.

I've hatched mutts before (just because I could ). It was great fun, French Black copper Marans over RIR and over orpingtons. They were all good layers and the cockerels I had to rehome. Later in the year I had to rehome my FBCM boy as we weren't supposed to have him anyway (city ordinance ). We were lucky to have him about 4 years before someone ratted us out.
The hens were the incubators.

I don't know what a "Dominant Copper" is, but I don't see why that mixture wouldn't work out fairly well with the Sapphire Gems at least. The Delaware and the Gems both have Rocks in their heritage, so shouldn't be too bad for meat.
