Delawares, 7 Weeks Old...and CJ

I have 10 delaware hens and 2 roos. They are all pretty good. The roos were so sweet then they BOTH went thru a faze and would attack our ds, but not now. They aren't so sweet, but not so mean now. We have a couple hens that we have named and the others are just, the girls, like some of our BA. We are hoping that we can hatch some out, as soon as one of our girls go broody.

How fun to see all these Dellies!

mgibbzzz - when did that phase end of attacking? My one roo is about to become stew because he has been puffing up and trying to attack my mom and sometimes me. The 2nd in command doesn't seem to act that way - a little more laid back. These are about 6-7 months old.

Did it stop on its own or did you do something?

I might have a couple Delawares hatch out if Gypsy does a good job with these pullet eggs that she's setting on.

Are your Delaware's really chatty? Mine are. My farrier's friend said that my hen would talk to anybody who will listen to her. She always has a lot to say.
