Delawares? Slow to mature?

I have three Delaware hens.. they are 1 year old (next month) I get 1 egg each day. Only one. Are they slower to mature than other breeds?

Guess I'll just see about selling them then.. they sure don't seem to lay as well as the Light Brahmas, but maybe it's the heat?

I don't know much about the Delawares, but I know that not all chickens lay every day. Some lay every other day.. some a few times a week. The heat can slow down laying, and of course there is always the chance that one of them is eating the eggs, or hiding the eggs from you. Are they free range?

Are you positive they're all hens? They tend to lay before 28-30 weeks. I would think it depends on the lines they come from, to a degree.
