My husband and I bought a new coop for our girls. One girl had to lay an egg and was trying to find the old coop. I showed her the new nesting boxes and put some eggs in them. She checked them out numerous times. I saw her laying in one a couple of times, but she never laid her egg. Should I be worried?

They moved into the new coop today. When bedtime came, they were confused where to sleep, so I put them all on their new roosting bars. Hopefully tomorrow night they will know where to go on their own.

Will they lay if their coop is on wheels and moved in and out of a garage to avoid peak predator hours overnight?
They'll lay when they feel an egg coming, regardless of where they are. Assuming they're used to your schedule of being moved at certain times of day it shouldn't affect anything, however if they're being moved a lot and not yet used to it, don't be surprised if you find eggs in some unexpected locations for a little while.
