Delayed Eggs

Well I have someone chirping inside this morning...and a pip so looks like it is starting! If all eggs I left in the incubator were viable at day 18 and temps and humidity are good most should hatch right?

FYI yesterday I snuck one out super fast (I know I should not have but...) That I knew looked underdeveloped going in..egg is still partially empty but I swear the baby is alive so curious if I will have a few late hatching or if it will just end up dying. Super excited! Hoping for a good hatch with my cheap incubator!

Hard to guess, really. Too many factors. Breed, genetics, health of the parents, etc.

But if they got this far, they could all hatch! :fl

These just started hatching yesterday...still going... :D

Oh and my friend thinks I am crazy checking humidity and all of that. She hand turns her eggs until hatch and keeps the humidity the same throughout and has gotten decent hatches, I tend to read everything..but I would rather give them the best shot I can.

Do not feel bad.....My friends all know I am crazy......lol......

Thanks! 1 black one from my barnyard mix is out! Another cream legbar mix pipped, an olive egger and purebred BBS Amerucana also pipped.

So cute! Love baby chicks! What breed are those adorable balls of fluff?

Thanks! Mostly bantam cochins. A couple seramas in there. The yellow one is a Serama.

:yesss:

I have 3 chicks..several more have pipped. One was knocked upside down by the others and had gunky stuff coming out where the beak was so I did remove the gunk real fast from the hole and thought it was dead. It was fine and is still breathing with its beak through the peep hole
