My name is Jessi. I bought 10 Production Red hens last weekend. They are reportedly between 4 and 6 months old. I live near Rio Vista CA. I will be looking to get another 5 to 10 hens and a rooster here shortly. I wanted to get a few hens that should start laying sooner before building my flock with the breeds I would like. The area we have for them is large and secure from predators but does not have electricity, so it makes brooding chicks impossible.
