Derperella, the (weird) Faverolles, & Friends

Well... I hadn't read the Derp Files for a long minute... Finally caught up...

I want to say that I have a few old girls... Vanilla, she's going on 5 (White silkie hen). Then there is Fiametta. A fav-x. She's 4. Those are my two oldest birds. Both healthy girls. I am hoping to get a good 10-15 yrs of giggles out of some of the girls. We don't eat the girls, and I am of the opinion, that once their laying days are over, they're in retirement, and warm bodies in the winter to keep the other warm bodies warmer. LOL

I did get some darker fav hens out of this years girls. THey do not have the black in there like Derp does though. But they are a rich reddish salmon color. AND I have one derpidoo... She's a little banty fav and she's a super spaz one minute, then stares off into space te next minute. Tiniest little thing. Cracks me up. The only one that survived a mystery illness that killed every chick in her brood. No, it wasn't cocci...

Nova we need to see pictures of little Derpidoo - what's her name. She survived for an important reason . Maybe she is the ONE to rule all the faverolles

Also a pic or two or three or four of Derp would really end the year on a GREAT note!

I know Nambroth is very very busy, so how about we have her set up a Derp cam in the coop/run so we can watch on BYC, Lots of people have set up incubation cams and I know of a Pug puppy cam etc. that can be followed in real time

That's a great idea! Although some of us would spend a little to much time online...
