Nambroth, is Pants descended from hatchery stock, or is he a leftover from too many pet quality roosters from a person who breeds cochins ? Because he is a very pretty, rooster. I am sure you probabaly met Pant's father, and whoever owned him probably has had that bloodline for while. I know it's not always true but how did Pant's father or grandfather act, was he a pretty good rooster as well ?

I'm not sure which Pants you are talking about! I had an Easter Egger cockerel named Panic Pants. He was hatchery stock and came to me sexed as a female. I have no idea who his parents were!

If you mean Trousers, the cochin roo, he was hatched from eggs from a registered Cochin breeder here on BYC (aceschix). The person I adopted him from only had the hatching eggs that she bought from aceschix.

Oops my mistake Nambroth, I meant your new cochin rooster Trousers. And she did a good job breeding him, he is very pretty.

I also hope after Quarantine is done for Trousers that you will have an easy time intergrating him with the girls. And though I know you probably won't ever breed any chicks, especially with Derp, But your BR and Trousers would make some very pretty barred cochins.
