only 1 of the eggs had no growth.
But, I have pm'd those who were to get eggs from me and offered to resend in May. It really sucks, both ways. We have had a record breaker of 15 inches of snow in 24 hours recently, with terrible storms and down to one lane paths cut thru very deep banks of snow. I know we were all excited to get and hatch our eggs- I broke open all six sets once I waited three days after hatch date, none developed and I know it was not because of the shipper nor lack of fertility but only the time of year and cold weather. I sincerely appreciate everyone that was willing to try to/from Alaska. I think I learned a lot this winter and have resigned myself to it cannot be done this far North in winter. Tori may have better luck as she is further south than I am. When I opened the eggs, it was like they were fresh eggs, ready to cook. I was expecting partially formed or very stink eggs...once I realized they weren't going to hatch- At first I fully expected to suceed and that others southward from me would get good hatches, too. I have had very good results on my own eggs just prior to this swap but once the weather turned I cannot hatch my own eggs here, either. I'm sorry and am thankful those who tried my long distance eggs are willing to wait until May to try again. Cheryl
