DESPERATE...PLEASE HELP!

Can you bring her inside where it's warm? That should perk her up and it will allow you to see what all of her poop looks like.

I have not. She roosted very early tonight and we honestly don't have anywhere safe to put her. We have four dogs in the house who we could keep separate, but I don't know how she would react to all the noise and to being confined in an odd space.

She roosts with the other three, but does not stay with them during the day. She used to, but would sometimes wonder off and do her own thing (we bought the other three together and she used to be the only girly). Now she keeps her distance for the most part and just sleeps all day. Could her distancing herself mean something?

After sending you that reply, I did a selfish thing. I went out to the coop, hugged my chickens "with worms in hand" and took pictures with my Iphone.. collected 3 eggs and came back inside to type this reply. Roo only bit me twice this time!

I think if you could make arrangements to get her away from the other birds safely it would be incredibly beneficial or at least a good start

It allows you to closely monitor what's going on and allows the bird time to heal and get better that way if there are any changes you know immediately and can reach as needed promptly

What can I do? Would a dog large dog crate suffice you think? I just don't want to do something stupid and cause her more stress

I think that just means that avoiding extra light to stimulate laying.
