Desperate to know what my ladies are

I got them as chicks off my friend. No not as pure breeds either. Please don't tell me that the white one (Mavis) is a cockerel cos she'd have to go back to the farm as I'm in a residential area. I think that she is at least a couple of weeks older than the other two though. Someone else mentioned about them being welsummers as a possibility x

If you got them as unsexed chicks you would have to be extremely lucky for them all to be pullets. My gut feeling at this stage is that the two in the last photo are both males, but it is too early to be sure about either.
Do you know what breeds your friend has? Knowing what breed her cockerel is would help. If the parents are cross breeds themselves then they are basically going to be glorious barnyard mutts....which are pretty much my favourite type of chicken, but discerning the breeds that make them up becomes much more difficult as the gene pool is so extended.

Hope I'm wrong about those pink combs. How old are they? I would guess about 8 weeks ish?

Have you just got them and were they broody hen hatched and reared on the farm or hatched in an incubator?

Hey there!

The dark brown one sort of looks how my awkward Wyandotte looked in this stage. Could be a match/hybrid? The eye marking sort of has me confused, but the body shape and coloring on the wings looks like it's heading the right direction.

It really does look like a welsummer in the head but the neck seems far too short... and Wyandotte's have shorter necks and more rounded bodies. Might bet money on a Welsummer/Wyandotte cross. And those are both pretty common chickens you might buy at a feed store.

My friend has all sorts on the farm. Her partner liked like he was sexing by their tails. He definitely believed the white one as female, the lighter one too but was a little unsure about the dark brown one. The brown Ines are approx 7 weeks but I think the white one is a bit older. She will happily exchange if any are roosters. I so hope Mavis isn't a malcolm

x the lighter brown one looks like she has eyeliner on. The brown Ines I am able to stroke them when I put my hands in the run. The white one won't. They all stay together when roaming around my garden and when they go to bed they snuggle into the white one. Hope I keep my Mavis, Vera, and Rita and not end up with a malcolm, victor and Richard lol xx
