Desperately need niacin and other advice

Hello everyone. Unfortunately, Jasper passed away this morning. I was hoping he would pull out of it and get better completely, but that isn't the case. I want to thank you all, especially Miss Lydia, for helping me with all of my questions and concerns, and for being here to support Jasper and me. It wasn't for nothing, though. You helped me make his last little while comfortable. Thank you.
@AmberCamilia so very sorry to hear about Jasper. You sure tried hard to help him. I hope you have more ducks to help ease the sadness.

Thank you. I so wanted him to feel better. Watching him suffer was heartbreaking. I do have another duck, Daisy. I read that ducks aren't very happy alone, so I plan on getting another male soon. It just feels like I'm replacing Jasper, though.

You aren't replacing Jasper at all you are helping your other duck Daisy be happy. AND you too

An Only Duck is a Lonely Duck.

If a human takes too much NIACIN he can bleed. I get really upset when I read these posts and things are used without ANY documented research or recommendations are used interchangeably. Many posts will state uses brewers yeast OR niacin. Here is a bottle of brewers yeast which demonstrates the amount of niacin is ONLY 12% of a human's daily recommended amount which is TOTALLY different then niacin pills.

2.5 mg in 2 tablespoons of brewers yeast is TOTALLY different amount then 500 mg pill

2.5 mg (12% of human need) vs 500 mg (2,500 % of human need)

Niacin will thin blood.

@MaxwellHouse Welcome to BYC. usually when we give advise on niacin it's from either storeys guide to raising ducks or Metzers web site.
